HD4650 AGP Uses Less Power Than PCIe Version
Tom's Hardware compares the HD4650 AGP against an identically clocked HD4650
PCIe on an ASRock mobo with both AGP and PCIe slots. Under load, the AGP card with twice the RAM and the bridge chip somehow drew 7W *less*. Wonder if Gigabyte designed the power regulation circuitry on the AGP card more efficiently than the ATi reference card? http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...gp,2383-9.html -- "War is the continuation of politics by other means. It can therefore be said that politics is war without bloodshed while war is politics with bloodshed." |
