Radeon 9100 display problems?

My monitor has just recently been showing some black text as pink
text, and I'm getting some streaking too. I don't have any abnormal
electronic equipment nearby, just the cable modem, hardware, and 99
cent speakers. What could be the problem? I have an XP 1600+, 256
PC2100 DDR, ATI Radeon 9100 64MB on WinXP Pro. It had been working
fine for about a year now..

Hi Patrick,

Do you get the pink text all the time or intermittantly ? Does it change
with the temp of the card or computer ?
Could be a heat problem or a problem on the card. Try underclocking the
card with one of the clocking utilities and see if it helps.

External interferace from electrical devices or unshielded speakers causes a
more spread out effect where the colors get smeared together or just random
noise on the screen rather than what you described. Your first link didnt
work for me. The second looked like too high of an overclock, possible
heat problem or a bad card.

Removing the old drivers with the uninstall util and reinstalling from
scratch is always a place to start when you cant figure out the problem.
