Default 9800NP + PowerDVD = overlay settings discarded

I use PowerDVD XP to watch movies using the hardware overlay of the
Sapphire 9800NP. On first blush it looked good. But, being a
tweak-freak, I just *had* to break out my Avia calibration disk.

I prefer to use the overlay controls in the ATI control panel, since
they allow me to adjust hue. I found that everything is pretty close
to ideal, right out of the box, except saturation, which I had to
practically max out to get correct... according to the Avia disc,
anyway. Going back to a movie, it seems a bit too rich, so I set it
down somewhat. "The Fifth Element" never looked so sweet!

But on to my problem: After I close PowerDVD, the next time I start
it up, all the overlay settings I have made in the ATI control panel
switch back to the defaults!

I don't know if this is a PowerDVD issue, ATI driver issue (Cat 3.6
here), or what. Any help/advice appreciated.

Gerald
