P4PE, floppy, and standby
I am running a P4PE (rev 1.03) with a 533 MHz 2.4 GHz P4 in WinXP Pro
SP1. I have been using suspend-to-ram (standby) and it has been working great except for one minor problem. When I come out of standby and attempt to access the floppy drive, the FDD light comes on, then the computer hard locks on me. My only solution is to hold the power button to kill the power. If I reboot after coming out of standby, the floppy will work fine. Could someone else with the P4PE confirm or deny this issue? I have tried all BIOSs from 1002 to 1006.1 always hoping that the new one will fix the problem but to no avail. I currently have this case into Asus but after my last post of proving system information, I haven't heard anything back. Looks like they have a week to respond. Thanks. |
