cd-r 90
Hi, I've just bought some cd-r 90 mins disks, but my nero 6.0 refused to
burn more than 80mins. I'm not sure if I adjust the maximum cd length in the Expert feature in the preference will do any good. I didn't do it because it says it might harm the cd writer if wrong length is been set. so I thought i better ask someone here first. can anyone shed some light? many thanks |

To write more than that, one must overburn. Mike -- http://www.mrichter.com/ |

To write more than that, one must overburn. I suggest you click on the link I mentioned. The capacity of MMore 90min CD-Rs is indicated as 10:00.00 I never tried the MMore 90min CD-Rs but I did use the TDK 90min CD-Rs. There are some drives who can detect the full capacity of these discs (Plextor Premium and Pioneer DVR-103 for example). With these drives the capacity is reported as 91:01.48 (ie. no need to overburn) Drives that cannot do this report a capacity of 11:01.48 (= 91:01.48 - 80:00.00). What I said is still so - the maximum value which can be written in the space in the ATIP is 79:59:74. By definition, writing more than the value in the ATIP is overburning. I have a run of "95-minute" blanks given me for evaluation which have an ATIP value corresponding to less than 20 minutes. Mike -- http://www.mrichter.com/ |
