Default Newbie: Graphics card replacement

Hi Everyone

I have had an XFX Geforce4 4200ti which has just died.

I am looking for a new card to replace it. I do not want anything
cutting edge, just something that is the same, or slightly better than
my old card.

I was looking at this card, which is 50gbp from ebuyer:
- PNY Verto Geforce FX5700LE 8xAGP 128MB DDR

Is this any good? Do you have any other recommendations (I am from
UK)?

Thanks

Ben

It isn't too bad for the money, but don't expect a performance increase from
your Ti4200. http://www.pcreview.co.uk/thread-10159.php

Use http://www.dealtime.co.uk and http://www.kelkoo.co.uk to search for
better deals.

The ATI 9600 Pro is an excellent card and very good value for money right
now e.g.

Highly recommended.

The 5700LE is slower than a 4200. A Radeon 9600 or 9800 Pro or XT is a
good bet for the money, otherwise a 6600 or 6800.
