Fujitsu DL900 dot-matrix and Windows 98 problem
My stepmother-in-law has an old dot-matrix printer -- Fujitsu DL900 --
that she still wants to use with a PC she just had upgraded. But we've downloaded Windows98 drivers for the Fujitsu DL900, and they don't work. Any attempt to print graphics results in gobbledy-gook. I've tried just typing some stuff straight from the prompt to the printer (C:copy con lpt1), and it drops some characters. Is there some kind of funky spool/buffer setting we have to use? We have the Fujitsu set to the maximum buffer size (24K). We have it in the default emulation (Fujitsu DLP). Please point me to the best driver, and what non-default settings we need to make this work OK. Thanks! robert at robertslaven dot ca |
