Default BFG RMA

I've seen some posts about BFG support and RMA. Good words about
support, at least one slam about RMA. I sent in a card that died a sad
death recently. It got there on Monday, and I was somewhat astounded
to receive a UPS delivery on Friday with the replacement. I was not
expecting poor service at all, but I did not expect that sort of
turnaround. Anyway, brownie points for BFG for turning my RMA around
so quickly.

Unit was (is) a BFG 6600GT OC AGP.

Nice to hear an employee of BFG so happy.

I prefer the glass half full so I'll take HTG at his word and thank him for
giving credit where it's due. BTW, BFG does have a *(good* reputation for
support.

You mean you'll take Orion at his word, right?

BFG is founded by ex-Visiontek people, so yes, I do expect the production
quality and warranty support to be top-notch.

Had the same experience with my BFG 6800 Ultra last year. It was replaced
quickly (maybe a week?) and no hassles.

and no, i do not work for BFG but I wish i could get free cards...

I had not one, but two RMAs with BFG. The initial two 6800 GT OC cards had
overheating problem. The first one, I just asked for a replacement, and the
second one I used like that, until it died one day. Currently using the
third one. I hope this will not die, too. So far, it has slightly better
temperatures compared to the first two cards.

So, as far as the RMAs go, yes BFG is a VERY good company. When it comes to
making overclocked cards with good cooling, nah, not so much.

My two cents...

GT

That's the thing - as good as the RMA experience may be, it's still better
if the cards didn't fail in the first place.
