Default Gigabyte GA-7IXEH Mobo views?

:? I have just been given one of these boards FREE! As I am not
working at the moment I am hoping it is going to be better than the
EP-MVP4F K6-2 500 I am running at the moment. I don't use it for games
so not really bothered about the speed, I just would like to know what
the best chip to fit is. I have a lso been given 2 AMD chips one is a
1000mhz and the other is a 1.6hmz. Can this board be overclocked so my
general use is better? I have been given a Sparlke AGP card and have
downloaded the F3 BIOS and @Bios files. Any help useful.

Both chips can be fine tuned via the bios, however if the chip can not be
cooled properly then it will fail.

You write u dont bother about speed but want to overclock?
Do yourself a favour and run the cpu at stock speeds - it's already very
fast and no need to overclock for general use.
