Default Asus Extreme Etreme Design Series Motherboards announcement

HotHardware.com had this news story today, Sunday.

http://hothardware.com/News/Asus-Lau...-Motherboards/

The story includes the specs of a P6TD. But I couldn't find this
board anywhere on the ASUS site. Is this an accidental leak or
pre-announcement?

So what's the bottom line here? How much more will this board cost
us? And what do get for it over a non-Extreme Design board?
Availability?

Asus has a press release about it on their site:

http://www.asus.com/News.aspx?N_ID=qSXGLklvNbiYL758

It's not unusual for Asus to announce a board that doesn't have a
product page for it yet. Expect the product page to appear closer to
it's release date.

*shrugs* Probably not enough to make it worth the price.

So it seems that ASUS "pre-announces" product. Why? All it does it
tip off their competitors. And you can be sure all the big OEMs
already know about this product, because they all have NDAs with ASUS.

ASUS seems to be claiming that the improved cooling will lead to
higher overclocks. I guess I will want to see a review before I
decide to spend the extra bucks.

And if you're watercooling, does this extra cooling even matter?

So that somebody who might be thinking of buying a Brand-X mobo that's
on the market today will instead hold off and wait for this
super-duper wizbang model from Asus.

Probably not worth it, for a company like ASUS that has fierce
competition.

How about releasing a extreme gamers Win7 mobo aimed for multi gpu and cpu
users (Since W7 supports dual CPUs).

You can already buy one. You can get boards that take the Xeon
version of Core i7. Don't expect overclocking though. It's a
server motherboard.

Nice, but what I was thinking of wa more of a proper RoG all-out
gamers/tweakers board in the classic spirit of Asus top of the range
products. Bound to come eventually I guess.
