DFI K8M800-MLVF + Athlon64 2800
Is there a software program out there like Motherboard Monitor, or even Asus
Probe, that can monitor fan speeds and temps of this North bridge: VIAź K8M800 ? Got this combo last month at Fry's because it was a great deal ($169 for the pair). |

Yor board doesn't have to be supported to use it. Just configure it manually. -- Abit KT7-Raid (KT133) Tbred B core CPU @2400MHz (24x100FSB) http://mysite.verizon.net/res0exft/cpu.htm |

Why don't you just go to the DFI web site and download the software if you didn't get a CD with all the stuff on it? http://www.dfi.com.tw/Support/Downlo...FLAG=A&SITE=US |

Probably because
1) Motherboard Monitor gives incorrect readings (-45f to 200+f) and the programmer who made it, gave up the 7 year project in June2004 - NO Updates. 2) There is no, and wasn't any, program provided by DFI to monitor temps and fans. If the readings are wrong, select a different sensor until you find the valid ones. then mate them to the appropriate speed label. You don't need updates as long as it supports the sensors in your board. Just select the proper sensor and type for each. I'm not a windows user but I didn't have any problem configuring MBM for my Jetway S755MAX board, which isn't supported by MBM. Just select a similar chipset board and then configure the sensor readings for it. I chose an ECS K7S5A old socket A board because it was a SIS chipset, then did it manually.. -- Abit KT7-Raid (KT133) Tbred B core CPU @2400MHz (24x100FSB) http://mysite.verizon.net/res0exft/cpu.htm |
