Default WINXP, Toshiba Gigabeat 10GB not found

I have the Gigabeat from Toshiba, ModelMEGF10, but windows XP and the Media
Player 10 do not see the Gigabeat.
I called their tech. support but they were of no help.

They just ask me to install the ORIGINAL Gigabeat CD (which I did) and it
still did not find the gigabeat, not under My Computer nor in Media
Player10.

I am using a fast HP desktop, Duo core, 4200++ and Windows XP Pro.

Can you help?
