Help! Notebook Won't Boot
Followup-To set to 24hoursupport.helpdesk
Just a thought: Have you checked the power supply/battery? On Thu, 26 Jun 2003 18:31:03 -0400, in Matthew scrawled: Hello, I've got a Sony Vaio laptop. The user may have removed some system files. It doesn't boot up anymore. I can get into the BIOS, I can set the floppy to be first in the boot list. But I cannot get it to boot, either from floppy or from CD. It just shows the Sony Vaio logo, plays the Sony hook, then the screen goes blank. I can hear the CD drive whir for a bit. Any help will be hugely appreciated! Thanks in advance, Matthew -- STGP, OGPE24HSHD |

1. do you have a system floppy this is a floppy that was made using "format /s" command 2. If that doesn't work what you might have is a loose Hard Drive. Check it by turning the unit over and seeing if it's securely installed. Good Luck Doug "Matthew" wrote in message ... Hello, I've got a Sony Vaio laptop. The user may have removed some system files.
