I think I'm screwed
So a couple months ago I put together a new build Asus P4P800-VM
motherboard. Used a snazzy aftermarket heatsink with fan on the processor. Seemed liek a really snug fit though, but it went on. Just last night comp shut down on me. I open it up and 3 of the 4 of the "clips" on the motherboard bracket that the heatsink fits into that hold the heatsink down broke off. I guess the tension was too high. Can this piece be replaced? Or is it time for a new MB with a lesson well learned. Thanks |
