Default Would a HDTV

work as a good monitor? It's a HDTV ready flat screen 27". I have a PNY
GeForce FX 5600Ultra card. By the way I like this card more that the ATI
9500 Radeon I replaced, ATI still has buggy drivers for a lot of the
software I use.

If it's a true HDTV that can actually display 720p or 1080i and not just
accept the signal and downgrade it to SDTV, and if it has a DVI input or
your video board has component-out then it can work reasonably well.
Not superbly--the 1080 is interlaced and the refresh rate is limited,
but usably for some purposes.

In theory it should because an HDTV offers much greater resolution than a
standard television. The problem is that if you connect the TV-Out on the
card to the HDTV it will only send a standard television signal. So you
either need a DVI to Component converter (to my knowledge only ATI offers
this) for the card or an HDTV with a DVI input.
