EyeToy Chat: Any chance will (eventually) be able to chat to PC users?

This is a very theoretical question, but... I'm thinking of buying an
EyeToy cam for someone for their PS2, and know that shortly a chat
program will be released for this.

Is there any possibility that PC users, through perhaps a third-party
app (official or hacked-together) could chat to PS2 EyeToy users? I
would be curious if there was any technical limit barring this since,
if not, I imagine
someone out there will attempt a solution.

Ever thought about reading the question? That just tells you how to
use an EyeToy camera on your PC, not how a PC webcam user might chat to
a PS2 user running EyeToy Chat.
