I have a Pentium 4 2.2 Ghz with 512 megs RAM and using a Nvida 4600 Ti .
Would I benefit from a faster video card.?, and if so would the best choice.? Darrell |

.. Would I benefit from a faster video card.?, and if so would the best choice.? Depends on the resolution you play games at, and whether you'd use anti-aliasing and anisotropic etc. I play at 1024 with a similar system to you and upgraded to a Radeon 9800 Pro and was amazed that generally games didn't run much faster, they just allowed more eye candy to be turned on with a lesser hit to framerate. You can switch all the toys on and be amazed at the lack of loss of framerate. Fastest card available right now is the Radeon 9800 XT. But if you're expecting a raw boost in framerates in general without the eye candy on fully you might be disappointed. |
