USB 3.0 hub question

Sounds like they're all -- NewEgg, BestBuy, &etc -- subsets of what a search on Ebay, (direct Chinese marketing vendors), or, possibly 1007 USB3 similar items might turn up before filtering and drilling through them. And they, the final results, may be no less inconclusive to actual and expected results you're already experiencing, that 'hit and miss' aspect that says the useless NewEgg 3" model is effectively covering its butt before exceeding a liklihood of pragmatic failure from anything with a longer cord. You may as well now double-check the Amazon reviews, which is even better as Amazon surpasses NewEgg on a return policy for merchandise that fails to meet product specifications. In case you haven't already. Or then also compare to Ebay pricing in case you find or feel you don't need to pay Amazon 33% more markup for an item you don't expect to return. While you can. Someday, the way computers are, between various inconsistencies, Amazon may rescind its stand for the last of merchants with a liberal cost-return policy. As it is, for some technology and computer items, Amazon will inspect for a valid working condition, a 15% surcharge can then be impressed. No surprise that's still then by law carries a later resale as discounted, or for Amazon, and used merchandise. Ebay, many merchants, will sell or attempt the same thing for new once again. |
