so what if my "reply address" is fake, its just there to stop junk mail

all the junk mail to appear, so i reduced the chances of more appearing

Did I miss something here. I truly can't see any link between this and the
previous items in the thread.

Nope - I don't think the OP has any idea what a 'sig line' is! ;o)

Then "mung" your address correctly. You are causing unecessary bounced
emails. gmx.net is a valid network.

No because ASDL doesn't use a modem - what you're referring to as a
modem is nothing more than an (external) connection to a vast WAN
(Wide Area Network). It doesn't carry tone pulses, nor does it
modulate or demodulate data. You do not dial a number to connect to
your ISP, do you. If you have DSL and you need to fax you must
purchase an analogue fax modem and a filter. Plug the filter into
the phone socket, the DSL connection into one side and the cable
from the modem into the other. That's the only way you can fax using
DSL unless you subscribe to a service such as eFax, which doesn't
make much sense if you're doing a lot of faxing as it's quite
expensive.

well look mate, in my pervious email address i had about junk mail arriving
at about 40 a day, and with hotmail only allowing a list of 250, already
filled up, tell me how else to avoid junk mail, the amount of junk mail i
receive, at least 3 a week from junk mail, (i not even want to block these 3
per week), suggest i want to "mung" my address to avoid all these junk
mailer like the plague or what ever diseases they could contain i.e. viruses
