Default Nvidia drivers for Asus A8N32-Sli ?

I installed the driver, flash drive still doesn't work.

I checked services all necessary once seem to be running.

I noticed how explorer needs time to recognize my other file disk images
which use drive z: y: etc.

Lower driver letters are free.

I will de-install the driver because it's not working anyway.

So I am done with this testing for now.

Bye,
Skybuck.

I enabled:

1. Legacy USB support.
2. USB 2.0 Controller mode: Full Speed
3. USB hand off or something like: Full Speed.

Flash drives still not detected.

I shall test one last thing and that is reinstall the driver.

The manual says it must be installed.

If that don't work then I give up, since I don't use the flash
drives/chips that much anyway.

Bye,
Skybuck.

Actually it might be a bios issue as well or the flash drive is just shabby.

I can remember that when it worked the bios menu's showed two usb mass
storage drivers or something.

I think I could even select them in boot priority... not sure though.

The bios no longer shows them.

When I boot in the text screen that scroll by... it did say something about
mass storage device...

Kinda strange.

I am done anyway.

Bye,
Skybuck.

The USB header has two sides. There is a USB interface on each side.
Your card reader uses only one of the two possible interfaces. The
1x4 cable goes to the 1,3,5,7 side or the 2,4,6,8 side. Pin 10 is a
no connect, as you can see in your Asus manual. Since you
have access to the FA404M manual, and can see the figure for yourself,
there is no need for me to draw it. I drew the figure before
I found the manual.

If the cable was connected incorrectly, you could have damaged the
FA404M. I doubt the BIOS settings need to be changed, as the
defaults would normally leave the USB enabled and ready to go.
Same goes for the OS, which should have built-in drivers for
USB devices. Examining the Device Manager entries, doing Properties
and seeing what drivers are used, would show you what the OS is
using for a driver.

Since the FA404M is not showing up in UVCView, my guess would
be it is now broken.

It can't be broken because it worked just fine when I installed all nvidia
drivers including the firewall.

It stopped working when I deinstalled the nvidia drivers.

I have no reinstalled the nvidia drivers except the firewall drivers.

My guess is the drive was damaged in transport or is simply bad quality,
this is suggested by others as well.

Last possibility: bios/os bugs in detection/drivers

That's outside of my control.

Bye,
Skybuck.

Skybuck wrecks yet another piece of hardware then blames others on his own
stupidity

I have found more interesting information in the manual:

This finally answer my question:

There are two usb modes in the pc's bios:

1. USB 2.0 High Speed mode (480 Mbps) the manual says.

2. USB 1.1 Full Speed mode (12 Mbps) the manual says.

Leave it on Auto

Craig you need to learn a couple of things:

1. Your PC is a piece of crap.

2. All PC's are a piece of crap.

3. Some PC's are more crap than others.

4. Let me know when you find bug free software or bug free hardware.

5. The drive is shabby.

6. Don't be a stupid brat LOL.

Bye,
Skybuck.

Doesn't seem to make a difference.

Not to you know what it does.

Maybe somebody else knows

Works perfectly unlike yours

2. All PC's are a piece of crap.

Only after you touch them

3. Some PC's are more crap than others.

Yes so we are hearing from your posts.

4. Let me know when you find bug free software or bug free hardware.

Perhaps a calculator would be more suitable for you.

5. The drive is shabby.

You just admitted you didn't have the damn thing plugged in properly

6. Don't be a stupid brat LOL.

Don't Troll!
