micro-atx MB on atx case
i just wanted to know if its possible to set a micro-atx motherboard on a
ATX Case? I think so, but i'm not sure... great thanx |

Technically, 'mATX' is also shorter in the front to rear dimension but many mobos listed as 'ATX' are just as short in that dimension too. The spec is actually an 'up to' dimension: 'up to x inches' for an 'ATX' ('full size') and 'up to y inches' for an mATX. Both can be 'smaller' than the maximum. A proper ATX case should have the standard hole patterns that would accommodate the variations. So, the point is, being shorter in both dimensions than a 'full size' ATX should not be a problem. And, true to form, it wasn't for the mATX mobos I've put in 'full size' ATX cases. |
