Default sata and scsi conflicts

Is anyone else having boot up problems with the newest sil 3112a bios
4.2.50, specifically with scsi based systems. The last couple of versions,
4.2.47 and 4.2.50, have caused my machine to lockup when they get to the
point where winxp would take over the bootup process. I've read postings on
websites reporting the issue but I was just wondering how bad it actually is
and if anyone knows of a fix.

The hardware I'm using is an A7N8X-D revision 1 with an adaptec 19160
scsi controller.
