good gaming widescreen lcd ?
hi,
can anyone recommend a good widescreen lcd for gaming ?, looking for either 19" or 20" at ~£250 any help appreciated. -- Eps

Keep in mind that for relatively modern 3D games a significant factor can be what video card you plan to use. A strong card can drive the 20" displays but one showing it's age might best be reserved to 19" screens with their inherantly lower resolution. IOW, 1" size difference is not as important as the supported (native) resolution.

Much as I hate to admit it, the Viewsonic VX2025wm is not bad. Like the guy said, you need at least an nVidia 6800 video card to get the custom resolutions you need depending on how good your eyesite is. Also, the ATI cards will not do custom resolutions at all, and you will be stuck with 1680 x 1050 which will require a magnifying glass to read anything. johns
