Default I'm retarded

So, I got a new DVD+-RW/+-R drive and plugged into my tower, and now when I
boot, my computer doesn't recognize my DVD drive nor my pre-existing CD-RW.

Am I having BIOS difficulties? The troubleshooting page in the manual that
came with the drive says to consult with the PC manufacturer, however,
Gateway isn't in the mood to help.

D'oh!

Any help is appreciated.

Check the jumper settings on the drives? Make sure that one is set as master
and the other as slave. If they are both set as master, which is probable, the
BIOS will not recognize either one... Ben Myers

Yes, but, I repeat! Did you check the jumper settings on the drives?

Yup... that was the problem. I shouldn't work on my computer when it's
late.

Thanks, Ben. =)

But did you check the jumpers on the drives? One has to be set to
master, the other to slave.
