Epson refuses to answer Perfection question

For what its worth to others:

The Epson Perfection scanners V500 and 4490 share the same ADF. The
provided software was suppose to allow duplex document scanning. It does
not.

I have emailed these characters three times, over a two week period,
asking for clarification and/or plans. Epson simply will not answer the
questions. This is unacceptable corporate behavior.

Epson and all their products are now on my do not buy/specify/approve
list.

Buyer beware.

What is ADF?

Automatic document feeder.

Epson appears to support double-sided scanning with other scanners. I get
the idea they are not with these scanners so they can sell more of the
more expensive ones for this task, and the V500 for another. In theory, it
inceases the sales... In any event, I won't buy anything from Epson
again, since they can't give the decency of an answer.
