Digital Camera Prices

Anyone hear anything about when Dell will put digital cameras on sale. I've
seen 10-15% sales in the recent past but wasn't ready to buy then.

Maybe a big push towards Chrismas?

i don't think anyone can predict when they offer promotions. you can get
$25 off when spending $350 or more today at dell home software and
peripherals (cameras) with coupon code FCC8FD174C14. i highly recommend
www.bhphotovideo.com for excellent price and service on all cameras (no
sales tax outside of ny state). i also suggest that you avoid nikon
digital for various reasons, the most blatant of which is the lack of a auto
focus assist light on their cameras that essentially makes them useless
indoors. do you homework at www.stevesdigicams.com and www.dpreview.com
before you buy.

Why buy from Dell??? You can find terrific deals all the time from top
sellers and you get to know who made the camera.....

Why buy from Dell??? You can find terrific deals all the time from top
sellers and you get to know who made the camera.....

Dell is a reseller for brand name cameras from the big makers- Canon,
Minolta, Sony, etc. I don't think they make/market any Dell branded ones
like Gateway does.

My reason for buying from Dell is they are a far more reliable source than
the Brooklyn-based online camera retailers most of whom are about impossible
to deal with unless you enjoy being abused and lied to. When Dell run sales
and promotions, their prices are quite competitive.

Please note I said "top sellers". I mean that to include only those with top
reputations. I stand by the statement that you can almost always get a
better deal than through Dell. With the quality of their support eroding,
I'd look elsewhere, even retailers like Best Buy.
