Doom 3 isn't a general purpose engine, if licensed, it will have very
limited appeal compared to the HL2 engine.

I think he was referring to d3d performance with the hl2 engine, and they
are close.
Not that I'm an nvidia fan, but facts are facts.

BF1942 is D3D.

With the new HalfLife2 engine, Nvidia & ATI are neck and neck...
