Default Rebuilding a Dell 2300 - keeps shutting down during Windows installation - fixed!

First of all thanks to all the respondents!

The issue was the heat sink retention module.
Installed a new one and hooked a 80mm fan to it.
Loaded Windows on a new hard drive and it took the first time.
In answer to the other questions ...
1 gig of memory is good.
Motherboard model: "Bluford"

Thanks again everyone for all your help.

Paul

Good! A lot of spontaneous shutdowns can be traced to heat problems. Or are
they cooling problems? ... Ben Myers
