Default All-In-Wonder 128 Rage Pro on WIn XP

Hi, I have the recommended drivers for my card from ATI site but they are
MMC 7.2 and DVD 5.0

I had MMC7.7 and DVD7.6 under Win98

Anyone know if there are any more up-to-date drivers kicking about for XP.

Many thanks

Mick

OR, can I just install the MMC7.7 and DVD7.6 I have. I suppose it is driver
that is OS specific rather than apps?

Thanks for that. That tallied with the experience I had of MMC7.7 after
upgrade to XP. It locked up and would not load 7.7. I tried installing 7.6
and 7.7 again and it did the same. Back to 7.6 and working OK.

Next question. Due sound seeming to have loots of background hiss, under
Win98 there was a fix to install an older Audio Crossbar .sys file. Is there
any fix for this under XP?

Also there were some WDM capture files I installed under Win98. Do I need to
do this under XP?

Thanks

Mick

You might want to look into the AIW 128 Pro forum at Rage3D. There are mods
for everthing upto 8.6. I have been running my aiw 128 Pro under XP for
quite some time using the 192 drivers, and MMC 7.7, with no problems. I read
the stuff about the 8.5 and 8.6 mods with interst, but find no compelling
reason to create headaches for myself.
