I think now I'm looking for a GeForce4 Ti4200 off of Ebay. What's the
best/worse brands? I see PNY VisionTek NVidia LeadTek Albatron XTasy ...More? Thanks...

OK here's my from best to worse but sometimes it depend on the model. For
a 4200 here is my list. Its also tough to say because some of these seem to be equal in quality and performance. Albatron MSI Abit Gainward VisionTek PNY

So would you/anyone actually advise *against* the PNY or VisionTek ?

since i have had it(nearly 2 years). This is giving me 4600 performance. It also has Video In/Out which I have also found useful. I'm not trying to put your card down, but my Albatron 4200 does 325/650 totally stable. Earlier Albatron 4200's turbo's could hit over 700 in memory.

best/worse brands? I see Used to have an IT guy at work who liked gaming...a year ago, when the boss asked him to get dual-monitor video cards, he bought a bunch of Ti4200's. Anyway, we got some ASUS cards and some MSI cards, as those were the brands the local shop carried. Never had any trouble with MSIs, but a failed fan on an ASUS.
