Athlon 64
I had a similar problem (ended up ditching Win64 for another reason), but
here's what may help. The MSI K8T comes with BIOS set to "Cool And Quiet = Disabled". If you enable the Cool and Quiet in BIOS, and then try to install, I believe it may work.
