Default FX5950 and Half Life 2

Has any website done benchmarks on that Half Life 2 Beta thing which was
used to show how good ATI cards were Last year.

Something like this at Anandtech but with the newer cards and drivers.

http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.html?i=1863&p=8

I am looking for a new card to replace my Leadtek Winfast A250 Ti 4400
would probably go for the Leadtek Winfast A380TDH.

http://www.leadtek.com.tw/3d_graphic...myvivo_1.shtml

All the recent benchmarks show there is not much between the FX5950 and
the 9800XT but I would like the best card to play Half life 2 when it ever
comes out.

How long before the Next Generation of cards will be released.

Er, 2 days after March 30... the current proposed release date of
HL2....

How long before the Next Generation of cards will be released.

Er, 2 days after March 30 ?

Rule #1: Software available (or genuine fully-functional Demo) BEFORE
upgrading the hardware.

Rule #2: Let others be the hardware guinea-pigs. Look at benchmark
performance on the sorts of real applications you are
likely to be running.

Im not that interested in Half Life 2 my main game right now is BF1942 I
have 2 PCs and I just bought a Radeon 9700 Pro so I can put my Ti4200 into
my other PC - I guess its overkill for this game the Ti4200 rocked!

BF1942 sucks ass... Any GF4 card can handle it.

Call Of Duty, much better... and yet I can play it at 1600x1200 in
full detail.
