Computer overlay issue help or pls point in right direction
despratly need help with overlay and PowerDvd
okay haveing some really WEIRD overlay issues in XP on 2 machines with 2 diff vid cards, one ATI9800 other FX5600 Ultra GS. On both machines if I start just powerdvd 4 or 5 and try to play a dvd or a movies file its as if the overlay image is being painted BEHIND the overlay surface. I get a very thin border thats the actually outside edges of the image but the center is black. Now the strange thing: If I first open a file in WMP9 or a DVD, stop it and then open pwrdvd and hit play it does the overlay correctly for both disks and movie files. Im at a loss. Ive uninstalled reinstalled. Made sure had latest patch etc. Using latest drivers avail from manufature for both. Most recent DX (also both systems have had recent fresh reinstall of os so am really at a loss and hope someone can help me on this Update: Even stranger yet if open pwrdvd and go full screen then hit play it displays correctly really need help so if someone has a good idea as to whats going on please help As its doing it with 2 diffrent makes of card and in both cases WMP9 handles them correctly and somehow makes it work for Powerdvd Im wondering if its not a problem with Cyberlink and new cards not driver related |
