Default Adding additional HDD to server

We have a PowerEdge 1400SC with a single 18Gb hard disk

I want to add an additional hard disk but when I look on the web site
although it has hard disks to purchase it mentions 'first drives'

Can someone please explain to me what is meant by this, can I add another
disk, and is is difficult.

Many thanks

Tony
