Default NView desktop manager will not enable - Help.

Hi,

I am using the 55.03 drivers with win2k.

I would like to use the profiles to quickly enable / disable TV
output.

The problem is I cannot enable the destop manager as a non
administrator.

Loking at the Nview users guide it does not say that non
administrators cannot use the Desktop manager, only not manage the
profiles.

How do I get it to work?

Many thanks.

That does not fix the problem, I allready know you you need admin
rights to manage the profiles, thats fine as I can make the profiles
as admin then have them used by non admin users, and that is what the
nvidia nview guide implies!!

However, how do non admin uses enable the nview desktop manager too
access the profiles?

Hi!

I have the same problem; my standard-user IS of group admins, but I simpl=
y
can't open the desktop-settings...
This is somewhat annoying, to switch over to admin (these closing all
applications etc) just to make a little change!

I just checked: I can't open as admin, too...

I had the same problem with the 55.03. Whatever I did (uninstall and
reinstall driver), there was no way to enable NViews with that driver
(was working well with previous drivers).
I upgrade to the 55.04 (they are available from www.guru3d.com) and now
nviews is enable. So now that I see that I am not alone, I suspect a bug
in 55.03.

Hi Jean,
I assume you where trying the same thing as me? using nview as a non
admin user?

I suspect a bug as well, but the drivers are WHQL and a bug such as
this does not change my opion of micksofts WHQL program...

Ok the 55.04 drivers fixed the problem and nview will now enable for
non admin users.

But as the saying goes fix one problem find 10 more and here is a
couple.

If I use the tray icon to switch profiles the full screen options are
not set, but if I choice the profile from the nview options window
they are!!!

Also the overlay colour correction settings are not applied to the TV
output when I select the TV profile.

Once again these drivers are WHQL, and I saw no mention of my initial
nview problem in the release notes as being fixed or known...
