Default GA-8ST800 IDE Problem

Hi
I have a problem with detecting my IDE drives at boot up.When I first
boot my system it can't find any drives and stops with a "disk boot failure
please insert disk" or something like that. If I hit reset I get the same
thing but if I turn my system off and then back on it boots up just fine. Not
a real major problem just have to turn on my computer twice to start it,
would be nice to fix it if anyone can help.I have the F3 Bios I think, the
one that came with it, GA-8ST800 mainboard P4 2.67 Seagate 80 gig hdd cd and
dvd drive.

Cheers Terry

Check this@@
Go into the BIOS and find the Boot Disk Priority or Boot disk order setting
(Mines in the Hard disk section) it list the various possible boot devices
....check that the one you want to use(probebly the disk where u have drive
C) is first on the list.
I went though hell with this resetting itself in such a way that it wouldnt
boot after making a tempory change with my drives.

Allso try disconnecting all drives except your boot drive.

try a HDD spinup delay (or something like that) .. i had similar problems
with my LS120 and CDRW drives... kicked it up to 3 seconds, and it was good.
