Cat 9.4 drivers
Sure enough, as previously reported, Radeon cards older than the HD 2xxx
series have been dropped from the support list. -- "War is the continuation of politics by other means. It can therefore be said that politics is war without bloodshed while war is politics with bloodshed." "rms" wrote in message ... Are on the ATI site now. Thanks for the headsup Les! rms |

Cat 9.4 drivers
I had a few issues with the install of the 9.4 on a 4870X2 vista 64. It
would not recognize the card after installing. First install failed, final install, monitor went black, I reset the PC, and on reboot the driver was present, with device manager seeing the card. |

Yep, uninstalled, then ran drivercleaner twice. |

(CSSA): http://www.swd.gov.hk/tc/index/site_...sub_addressesa That's really not necessary any more. I used to (meaning with every single Catalyst update from version 5.x to 8.x) meticulously clean out the old driver, registry, reboot before installing the new one. It was probably necessary at the time. Starting with the latest 8's all the way up to 9.3 using both XP-32 and Vista-64 I have never, not once, uninstalled the old drivers before installing the new. I have not seen one installation artifact as a result of that. What I have seen is a lot less hassle in Cat driver updates. Your mileage may vary, of course. Tony |
