flashing bios
i think i have a bios problem with my computer after trend anti-virus
showed me a boot sector virus alert. i want to flash the bios and went to the mainboard manucfacturer's website and download the file but on unzipping it, i discovered there was no instruction in it for doing so, i.e flashing but instead found only one file with .rom extension. how do i resolve this issue? thanks david |

Look for a flash program and instructions. You usually need a bootable diskette, the flash program and the ROM file. You boot from the diskette, then run the flash program and follow the on-screen instructions. Mike. |

Mike. i have a .exe program on my systemboard called AMIxxx.exe on the utilities section/folder which i think is for flashing the board and found a .rom file on the net. I don't want to do something wrong and end up short. do you think with a bootable diskette this two could be compatible or do i look for a flash program or write to the manc.? will really appreciate your help. david |
