I was given two Packard Bell machines today.

One of them is that "Deco" style...

Well I finally got a chance to fool with it last night.

It's a p-1 233 and came with 32megs of RAM

It booted up to win98se!

cdrom not working and no USB support.

Opened it up and added another 32megs of RAM
and replaced the cdrom (12x) with a Packard Bell 24x cdrom ...

then checked the bios
and saw that USB was disabled, so I enabled it,
booted up
and the machine is now fully functional.

I am going to check up in my attic
as I may have a HD that was removed from a PB with Win95...
it would make the machine a little more authentic

I'll see if I can post a picture of it later.

BTW: I probably do have PB Navigator from win95

You can email me directly...

my gmail addy is philo565
