I believe it adds Firewire ports.

Do not know for sure the P4P800, but have P4P800 DLX. It has 2 IDE ATA RAID connectors ( named as 40-pin Pri_RAID1 and Sec_RAID1 ) and only 2 Serial ATA connectors ( 7-pin SATA1 and SATA2 ). Other details can be seen at Asus website.

Not fireWALL, fireWIRE. It is a high speed connection for peripherals, like
