Default RE; Was a dead A7V!!!

Thanks for those who gave advice when a failed bios update occurred.

I recieved my new bios chip (1011) and it all boots up ok with duron 1300 a
ok!

I installed a Quantam fireball 1.2gig h/drive to check that win98se installs
ok and all the chipset/gfx drivers etc. Its all working fine, no probs
whatsoever.

My only question now is;
I am going to fit a larger harddrive to this system. Is there anyway
that I can copy the whole of the contents of the 1.2gig drive to the newer
hard-drive or do I have to go thru the motions and reinstall win98se??
I usually do full clean installs but thats when building from scratch or
transplanting a hd.

Any help/pointers much appreciated

chris

Use Ghost 2003 it is the best, second choice drive copy, third is use the
drive copy utility in partition magic. All will work. I believe that even
Maxtor sends a copy of some type of drive copy utility with each new drive,
I have one of those CD's if you want just email me at johna at almand dot
net and if it's not to big I'll send it as an attachment.....

Yes, all drive makers include a floppy that has software that will
clone/copy the contents from 1 HD to another.
If they do not, then they got it at their respective web sites.

Thanks for all your suggestions, I have never received a floppy with a
harddisk with copying software, maybe the mail order companies horde them!!
