Default Geforce 6800 Ultra Review With Benchmarks

http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/article/1708.1/

Look at that monster....

The benchmarks are impressive, but hopefully they'll hold their own
against the R420.

I honestly don't think it's smart of Nvidia to draw first anymore.

For once I'd like to see ATI to take it upon themselves to make a
release first.

I'd like to take a poll and see what you guys think about the cooling
approach Nvidia has been taking.

Positioning the fan so it doesn't blow toward the hotspot, but rather
through the fins, is just stupid.

The fins don't get as hot as the base of the heatsink. If they wanted
a fan that didn't have any deadspace (hence the reason for the oddly
positioned fan) why not go with a wind-tunnel fan?

Am I right or am I right?

Nvida draw first, ATI was the first to market with a DX9 part (9700 pro),
first to market with a DX8.1 part (8500), Nvidia was first with a DX8.0
part (GF4), Nvidia was first with a DX7 part (GF3).

So all in all thier equal in who releases compliant hardware first.

I like the 6800U, looks great, but i'm no zealot to any company.

The GF3 is DX8 compliant. The original Geforce 256 from back in 1999 was
DX7 compliant.
