Default Video Capture Device?

What would be the best external video capture device? I need to capture
at 720x480, so ovbiously I don't want USB 1.1, but USB 2.0 or firewire are
OK. I'm looking for something around 100 dollars. I have found quite a
few from kworld, but I'd rather get something that can be reccommended or
that I can find a review for.

the best for close to that price would be the datavideo dac-100 for $150,
there's a similar device by ADS called the pyro a/v link you might be able
to find a little cheaper but there were a lot of problems with early
revisions, not sure if they've worked them all out.

If the external video device has a firewire connector then go for that,
assuming it is a digital device. For analog video input you probably need to
get a capture card such as pinnacle DV10 etc.
