Default Fast User Switching, Cat4.4 - 4.8

Does anyone else use this feature in XP?
Well I do and I think ATI has messed up something in
Catalysts 4.4 and later what comes to Fast User Switching.

I have 2 profiles and sometimes (not every time) after I have
switched from one profile to another, I notice pressing
Ctrl+Alt+Del does nothing and I can't Log off/Switch User,
Restart or Shutdown anymore. Pressing those buttons simply
has no effect.

I can start Task Manager by running its executable, but the
only thing I can do with it, is to log off/disconnect the other
profile which is logged in. If I try to log off or disconnect
currently active profile, screen just goes black and that's it.
In any way I'll have to reset my PC in order to get out from
the switched profile.

So how do I know this annoyance is caused by the
Catalyst drivers? Never experienced problem like this while
back I was using 3.6's, but after upgrading to 4.4's switching
users randomly started to do this. I downgraded back to 3.6's
and problem seemed to disappear, I could switch users as
much as I wanted without fearing that I would get "trapped"
inside another profile.

Then I upgraded from 3.6's to the latest 4.8 officials, and
this annoyance re-appeared, practically making the Fast User
Switching feature unusable. So seems like either ATI has done
nothing to fix this or they even don't know the bug exists.
Or there's something wrong with my configuration, but then
I can't understand how 3.6's would be more Fast User
Switching-compatible than 4.4's and 4.8's if there's no bug.

Before installing new drivers I used Driver Cleaner and XP
is up to date. I have tried disabling/enabling VPU recovery,
fast writes and ati-services, but no help.

Because 4.8's are faster in games (and I also like to play
games), I suppose I'll just have to disable the whole
Fast User Switching service if it ain't working with these
drivers :-(
