dual channel DDR really better?
Planning to buy a new motherboard with 856 chips supporting FSB800
probably Asus P4P800 (non-Deluxe) version is it wise to buy use Dual Channel RAM? or in other words, how big is the performance difference compared with the price difference? |

You REALLY need to use the dual channels of ram provided with these chipsets. With a P4 there is a MAJOR performance increase. Whether or not "dual channel ram" is required rather that just 2 sticks of matching ram is something I can't really coment on for that specific board. -- Stacey |
