Default Ti4200 & Deus Ex Demo Problem

I get weird psychedelic colours in the menu (the rotating D symbol is fine
but there is a colourful corona around the entire menu that is screwed up)
and in game I see the architecture but everything is trippy colours. I
never had this happen in any other game. Menu choices are also screwy
looking.

I reinstalled DX9.0b.

I am using 45.23 drivers.

Any suggestions?

JL

If it helps, I'll add this.
I have a Ti4200 with DX9.0b and 45.23 myself. Demo had choppy graphics and
looked like ****, nothing I would buy for sure. The original DeusEx looks
way better.
Did not see coronas and stuff like you, but something was definitively
wrong. Guess they will get it right for the release.

The offical forum, link from the web site, is filled with people who had
very crappy experiences with this demo. Many with Uber systems could not
get it to run smoothly.
I don't know if that helps at all but I guess I'm saying that there
could be nothing wrong with your system at all and the demo still probably
wouldn't run smoothly.

Same problem here (what I termed "Predatorvision"). Problem turned out to
be the nVidia color control settings. If I used ANY settings (from the
desktop/video properties for gamma/brightness and so on) other than
defaults, the demo would do that. No idea why.

Hopefully that'll fix the problem for ya.

Yes! An extremely apt description too!

Well, I guess I'll reload the crummy thing and try again.

Thanks!
