Incompatible video cards with A7V8X?
What is your ram configuration ?
"SunKitten" wrote in message ... hi everyone, I just got a new (replacement) motherboard for my computer. The mobo I had was an A7V333, replaced by an A7V8X. Anyway, ever since the motherboard was replaced, I'm having problems with animation programs. Everything I know brings me to the conclusion that my memory is the problem, and not the video card, but nevertheless I purchased and installed an ATI Radeon 9200 today. I'm getting blue screens with STOP errors every time I run specific programs. When the techs installed my new mobo, they told me I didn't have to reinstall WinXP Pro, and they swore the DDR 333 memory (512K) in my computer checked out OK. I'm not so sure about either of these things. Anyway, my question is: what is the most likely thing to be causing these errors -- memory, WinXP itself, or an incompatibility between my video cards (formerly a GeForce 2 MX 400 w/ 64 mb VRAM, and now the ATI Radeon 9200) and the new mobo? Thanks, SunKitten |
