I got your opinion right here...
Disable all snooping.
Ask me if I want to enable snooping.
If I say yes, give me all those choices opt-in.
Publish the metrics on that option to your field test.

It's not rocket science.
You don't need a survey.
You don't need multiple experiments.
I've never met anyone who wants other people all up
in their b'ness.

Implying that we want an easier way to get spied upon
is an insult to our collective intelligence.

You are using Windows. What does that say about your intelligence?

He's smarter, more productive, and has more disposable income
than someone using linux or a mac?

Just do what you're gonna do anyway and work on something
that we can really use to be more productive.

Stated another way, "Quit putting lipstick on that pig
and give us a slice of ham."

What a pity facts don't agree with you:

'The WSJ notes that Forrester Research has found that the average
household income for Mac owners is $98,560, compared to only $74,452 for
Windows PC owners.'

In principle I'd agree, but "M$" is also notorious
for shafting their customers with overpriced spyware
brought to you by the almighty "Big Brother" watchers
of the Central Intelligence Agency, surely man's best
friend. Judas Iscariot was a confident operative, too.

It's like what happened to "Deja News"; once the CIA
"Google" wrapped its tentacles around it, it quickly
turned into a steaming pile of Tasmanian Devil ****.
