Minimum System Requirements
This section provides information on the system requirements for successful
installation and operation. The following is a list of minimum system
requirements:

a.. Intel Pentium 4/XeonT, AMD Athlon/OpteronT or compatible CPU
b.. PCI-Express x16 Bus for PCI-Express products
c.. AGP bus for AGP Products
d.. 128MB of system memory (256MB or more recommended)
e.. Installation software requires CD-ROM drive
f.. 300 watt or greater power supply (recommended)
Operating systems supported
The ATI FireGLT Unified Driver version 8.083 is designed to support the
Microsoft Windows XP and 2000 operating systems.

Resolved Issues
This section provides information on issues that have been resolved in this
release of the ATI FireGLT Unified Driver. These include the following:

a.. Setting the secondary display device to primary no longer results in
OGL app viewport failing to respond on of the secondary monitor
b.. Hot plugging is now working on the secondary DVI port when using an
ATI FireGL X-3 256
c.. Connecting both a Digital and non-DDC analog monitor to the ATI FireGL
T2-64 under Windows XP no longer results in the second display option not
being available
d.. Setting the secondary display device to primary results in OGL app
viewport failing to respond on of the secondary monitor
e.. The Windows 2000 operating system no longer fails to respond when
resuming from standby mode using S1
f.. Playing the game Doom 3 under Windows XP with an ATI FireGL T2
installed no longer results in polygon corruption being seen when the system
options for the game is set to Ultra Quality and the display properties is
to 1280x1024
g.. A few transparent windows are no longer left behind on the secondary
display device when enabling Quad Buffer Stereo
h.. Running the Discreet benchmark for 3DSMAX R4.26 under Windows XP with
either an ATI FireGL X1 or Z1 card installed using the ATI MAXimum driver,
no longer results in flashing or missing textures while the animation is
playing
i.. Setting Horizontal Span mode followed by opening all of an OEM OpenGL
examples and cascading the windows no longer results in the operating system
either failing to respond or rebooting
j.. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic: Setting the resolution to
1280x1024 and keeping all the other game options set to default results in
the game failing to respond when the main character gets close to the droid
welding on the floor of the game
k.. Launching SPECviewperf 8.0.1 under Windows XP with an ATI FireGL T2
installed results in exception errors
l.. Running SolidEdge v15 under Windows XP with Anti-Aliasing set to 6x no
longer results in border and shading corruption being displayed
m.. Display corruption is no longer seen when running SolidEdge under
Windows XP with an ATI FireGL V5100 installed
n.. The Enovia Portal Add on for Catia no longer results in the Catia
application closing when opening a model
o.. Running Realizer under Windows 2000 no longer results in the
application failing to respond when enabling software anti-aliasing
Known Issues
The following section provides a brief description of known issues
associated with the ATI FireGLT software driver version 8.083. These include
the following:

a.. Connecting a standard monitor to an ATI FireGLT X2-256/X2-256t results
in a large monitor being detected in the ATI Control Panel. Further

b.. Connecting a 9 Mega-Pixel Monitor to the DVI port of an ATI FireGLT
X3-256 results in the synchronicity being lost when rebooting the system and

c.. Cascading multiple OEM OpenGL example windows under Windows XP with an
ATI FireGLT T-2 128mb card installed results in the system failing to

d.. Connecting a secondary display device to either an ATI FireGLT V7100
or V5100 and enabling extended desktop results in 3D Studio Menu not being
displayed when moving the 3DS Max 7 windows to the extend desktop. Further

e.. Corruption is seen when connecting a secondary display device and
moving the primary display device to the left of the secondary device,
followed by disconnecting the primary display device and then reconnecting
