Default XFX NVidia Geforce FX 5900XT 128MB DDR

i have heard bad things about XFX cards.... is the 5900XT any good or am i
better off looking elsewhere

I am currently using a GeForce FX5200 (gainward) with 256 mb, have heard bad
things about gainward using crappy memory on this very newsgroup.

Will the 128 mb XFX 5900XT deliver better performance or not?... than the
gainward i have?

any help would be much appreciated

the only reason you would want a 5900xt is if you're on a budget and want a
fast card. If you can afford more then get a better card. Anything below a
5900 from nvidia won't beat it. Anything higher and you'll probably be
paying up the ass.
